Specialist on: Millennials – global youth travel – tourism megatrends – the sharing economy – emerging markets – tourism dispersal – LGBT travel
I’m a consultant in travel industry education, destination development and strategy. With global experience in Asia, Europe and Latin America, I have become established as a thought-leader in destination development, and the relationship between travel and the global LGBTQ population.
As an associate consultant to Toposophy -Europe’s hottest destination marketing agency- I work at the cutting edge of tourism industry research and strategy building. Due to my strong interest in the future of travel, I have led pioneering research into the ways that consumers will shape destination product development and marketing in the years to come.
Additionally, I have generated new insights on areas as diverse as the travel habits of Millennials from mature and emerging outbound markets; how to tackle tourism concentration and dispersal; the impact of the sharing economy on destinations and, in the LGBT space; the future of LGBTQ travel in a changing world.
My published works include ‘The Rise of the Young Asian Traveller’ (PATA, 2014), How to Put Your Place on the Millennials Map (Toposophy, 2015) and ‘Stepping Out of the Crowd (PATA, 2016).
I have also been honoured to give keynote presentations at leading global tourism events including WTM London, ITB Berlin, IGLTA Convention Los Angeles, Cape Town and New York, JATA Tokyo, AYTE Sydney, GTEF Macau and MICECON Manila and London Technology Week.
